HalaMe Terms of Use

Welcome to HalaMe (the "Platform" or the "App"). The App is provided and
controlled by KMH TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD. ("HalaMe", "we", "us", or "our").
These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement
between you and HalaMe governing your access to and use of our Services.
If any translated version conflicts with the English version, the English
version shall prevail.
1. Eligibility and Account Responsibility
1.1 You may use the Services only if you are at least
18 years old or the minimum age required by the laws of your country of
residence, whichever is higher.
1.2 You must not misrepresent your age.
1.3 You are responsible for maintaining the
confidentiality of your account credentials. All activities conducted
under your account are your responsibility.
2. Description of Services
2.1 HalaMe provides a social platform that enables
users to create profiles, share content, and communicate with other
users.
2.2 Messaging features are available only between users who have established a mutual connection. The Platform strictly prohibits and does not facilitate anonymous random matching, random chat, or unsolicited messaging features.
2.3 We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or
discontinue any part of the Services at any time.
3. Paid Services and Virtual Items
3.1 Some Services may require payment. Charges will be
clearly presented before purchase.
3.2 Virtual items (including but not limited to in-app
currencies or digital gifts):
• Have no real-world monetary value
• Are non-transferable unless expressly permitted
• May not be redeemed for cash
3.3 Except where required by applicable law or platform
policies, purchases are non-refundable once delivered.
4. User Conduct
HalaMe maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding objectionable content and abusive behavior. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to take immediate action against any user who violates these Terms.
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, or bully other users
- Post illegal, violent, hateful, or discriminatory content
- Post sexually explicit or exploitative content where prohibited
- Impersonate others or misrepresent identity
- Engage in fraud, spam, or unauthorized commercial activity
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services
- Circumvent moderation or reporting systems
Violation of these Terms will result in the immediate removal of content and the permanent ejection (termination) of the account.
5. User-Generated Content
5.1 You may upload text, images, audio, video, and
other content ("User Content").
5.2 You retain ownership of your User Content.
5.3 By submitting User Content, you grant HalaMe a
non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store,
reproduce, modify, display, and distribute such content solely for the
purpose of operating, maintaining, improving, and promoting the
Services.
5.4 This license terminates when you delete your
content or account, except where retention is required for legal
compliance, dispute resolution, or safety purposes.
5.5 You represent and warrant that:
• You own the content or have necessary permissions
• The content does not violate intellectual property rights
• The content complies with applicable laws
5.6 We may remove or restrict User Content that
violates these Terms.
6. Content Moderation and Safety
6.1 HalaMe provides clearly visible in-app reporting tools to allow users to report inappropriate behavior or content.
6.2 Users may block any other users at any time to prevent further communication.
6.3 24-Hour Review: Our moderation team reviews all reported objectionable content and abusive users within 24 hours of the report being filed.
6.4 Enforcement: Confirmed violations will result in immediate removal of the offending content and the permanent ejection (termination) of the user account responsible for the content.
6.5 We employ automated filtering technologies to proactively identify and intercept objectionable text and images before they are viewed by others.
7. Prohibition of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM/CSAE)
7.1 HalaMe strictly prohibits content involving child
sexual abuse or exploitation.
7.2 Any such content will be removed immediately upon
detection or notification.
7.3 Accounts involved in such activity will be
permanently terminated.
7.4 We may report suspected violations to appropriate
law enforcement authorities.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 All content provided by HalaMe, including software,
trademarks, logos, and design elements, is owned or licensed by HalaMe
and is protected by intellectual property laws.
8.2 You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or
lease any part of our Services without prior written consent.
9. Termination
9.1 You may terminate your account at any time through
the account deletion function.
9.2 We may suspend or terminate your access if:
• You violate these Terms
• You engage in illegal or harmful behavior
• Required by law
10. Disclaimers
10.1 The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as
available" basis.
10.2 We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free
operation.
10.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that
cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HalaMe shall not be
liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive
damages arising out of your use of the Services.
12. Privacy
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of
Singapore.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services
after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
